Laurie is our new Nurse Practitioner with Alvarado Institute of Skin. She completed her Associate Degree in Nursing and went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree and Master's Degree at the University of San Diego. For 19 years she worked in Cardiology as a Nurse Practitioner for a private cardiology practice in North County San Diego. She also worked at Scripps Encinitas and Scripps Memorial La Jolla. Laurie has also worked for The Golden Door and Rancho La Puerta Spas.  

Laurie currently works as a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner specializing in acne and anti-aging treatments. Skin health and medical aesthetics has always been a passion of hers and she is excited to be a part of our team.

Laurie will be offering personalized consultations and customized treatments to enhance and accentuate the natural beauty of her clients, helping them to look and feel their best. Her unique combination of knowledge, experience, and personal attention helps achieve natural, beautiful, and desired results. 

Laurie has enjoyed living the Southern California life with her husband of 20+ years who is originally from Australia and loves being a mom to her two sons. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Nancy is a dedicated registered nurse with invaluable experience, specializing in critical care within the ICU setting since 2018. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree to further enhance her clinical expertise.

Nancy has been passionately transitioning towards aesthetic nursing since 2021, blending her rich foundation in healthcare with a commitment to enhancing her patients’ well-being through her art and passion for aesthetic medicine. Nancy has a distinctive passion for precision in injections and facial balancing for the achievement of a natural look.

Nancy is a true homebody at heart, enjoys appreciating Mother Nature, and cherishing moments with friends and family.

Hi, I'm Kathleen, an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in aesthetics with a career spanning over two decades. I began my journey in Beverly Hills back in 2003, where I honed my craft and developed a deep understanding of aesthetic care.

For five years, I had the privilege of serving as a nurse trainer for the prestigious Allergan Medical Institute, where I shared my expertise and passion for aesthetics with fellow medical professionals.

Known for my meticulous attention to detail and artistic flair, I approach each procedure with a perfectionist's mindset, ensuring optimal results for every patient. My warm and inviting personality puts patients at ease, fostering an environment of trust and comfort.

With a profound love for teaching, I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and skills with others in the field. I believe in the importance of listening to my patients, tailoring consultations to their unique anatomical features and desired goals.

Prior to my career in aesthetics, I spent 14 years as a respiratory therapist in geriatrics, where I had the privilege of making a difference in the lives of others. This experience not only enriched my understanding of patient care but also imparted valuable lessons from the wisdom and knowledge of those I cared for.

In all aspects of my career, my passion for helping people shines through. I am committed to providing exceptional care, fostering meaningful connections, and empowering others to look and feel their best.

On my days off, you can often find me surrounded by friends and family, firing up the grill for a barbecue gathering, or embracing the open road on my Harley with my husband and our beloved fur baby, aptly named "Harley." There's nothing quite like the freedom of cruising together as a family.

I also have a soft spot for country music, as the energy and camaraderie of live performances never fail to uplift my spirits.

Exploring diverse culinary experiences is another passion of mine. I have a particular fondness for ethnic cuisine, delighting in the rich flavors and cultural diversity that each dish brings. Whether it's sampling authentic street food or indulging in a fine dining experience, I'm always eager to expand my palate and explore new culinary adventures.

Over the past seven years, I've had the privilege of stepping into management roles, where my passion for leadership and nurturing positive environments has truly flourished.

Creating a culture where our team and our patients feel valued, supported, and respected is at the heart of everything I do. I believe in fostering a loyal and harmonious atmosphere, where everyone walks out of our office feeling uplifted and cared for. Customer service, for me, is a deeply ingrained principle.

Meet Emily, our Business Development Manager with a passion for skincare! With a background in project management and business development, she has the pleasure of blending her passion for skincare with her professional expertise.

Originally from Carmel Valley (Monterey), she relocated to San Diego to pursue her love for interior design at the Design Institute of San Diego. She has had a lifelong fascination with skincare, supported and nurtured by her mom's sweet tradition of stuffing her stocking with skincare products growing up. That early love affair with skincare stuck with her, leading her to channel her talents into the skincare industry.

In short, she's here to make sure Alvarado—and your skin—glow with success.

My name is Krystian Dean.

I am the youngest of 9 and would consider myself an observer in many aspects.

Coming from a large family, and having 3 children of my own, I have definitely developed an innate skill set in listening and interoperation of people, nature and overall situations.

I truly enjoy the process of story telling, and cultivating beauty in things I love and cherish. I absolutely love my collaborative journey with Alvarado institute of Skin Care and Align Skincare as it holds a very special place in my heart. I love being a team player in a business that brings so much to its clients as they always leave feeling uplifted by the experience they have in clinic, and Align Skin Care has personally changed my skin dramatically.

Nothing is more satisfying than to call an environment I get to create in on a daily basis "work" when in actuality I am living out my daily passion.

Hi! My name is Arlene Guerrero, I am a licensed Esthetician for over 8 years and have loved every minute of it. My interest in skin care started years before I decided to pursue a career in the skin care industry. My mom suffered of cystic acne in her young adult life and has left her with scars and insecurities, and I knew that I wanted to do something to help her, and what better way than to learn how to heal inside and out. Little did I know that it would become my passion to help people through their healing journey, and I can say it has been healing and rewarding to know I can help more people smile and feel better.

I have been a part of Alvarado for a few years now. I have been part of our customer service team, and have also been in the treatment rooms. Although being in the treatment room is my passion, what Alvarado does to give back to the community is amazing and I take pride in helping make that happen. Maybe some day I will be back in the treatment room, but for now, giving back to our community is where my heart is.

When I am not working, I am most likely with my family or friends. My family is a grounding point for me, I have 8 nieces and nephews that fill my love tank when I need it, I enjoy watching them and getting to know them in every stage of their life. I am a homebody for the most part; I really enjoy being at home cooking meals, another one of my passions, remembering where our family recipes come from and for how many generations have passed them down and reached me.
